CLUB MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
  • Who can join The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall? UK Faculty, Staff and Members of the UK Alumni Association.
  • What if I didn’t graduate from UK? You may join the Alumni Association as an Associate Member to qualify for Club Membership. The Alumni Association application is enclosed for your convenience. Simply fill it out and we will forward your information with a separate check for payment or with your credit card information.
  • What amenities will I enjoy as a Club member? Members enjoy four swimming pools, 6 tennis courts, pickleball courts, Roxie’s upscale casual Member dining with veranda, summer Tiki Bar and Grill, exclusive access to Lexington’s Legacy Trail, basketball and volleyball courts, expansive grounds, picnic areas, special Club events and the spectacular Spindletop Hall mansion.
  • When can I start using the Club? Members may begin enjoying the Club’s facilities and programs upon payment of the initiation fee and dues.
  • What is required to activate my membership? Please fill out the applications for both the Club and Alumni Association and mail to The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall, 3414 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511, fax to 859.259.3963 or email to [email protected]. Checks or credit cards are accepted as payment. If you email the application, you can call with your credit card number.
  • How do I pay? An initiation fee and six months’ dues is the minimum requirement to activate membership. Alternatively, you can pay only one-third of the initiation fee with one year’s dues upfront. Please note: UK Young Alumni and Students are required to pay a full year’s dues at time of application.
  • Special Note – UK Young Alumni and Students, Lifetime Members of the UK Alumni Association, and Golden Seniors (age 72 and above) pay no initiation fee.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
Resident: Resident Memberships are required for those whose primary residence or place of business is in Fayette or a contiguous county.
Non-Resident: Persons who have their primary residence or place of business outside of Fayette or a contiguous county.
CATEGORIES
UK Young Alumni and Students: All individuals twenty-one (21) years of age and older, but under thirty (30) years of age, that are Members of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association shall be eligible for Club membership.
Family: Entitles Member, their spouse or significant other and unmarried dependent children under the age of 23, who live in the same household as the Club Member, the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Single Parent: entitles a single parent who is the sole adult resident in the house along with one or more unmarried dependent children under the age of 23 the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Couple: entitles Member, their spouse or significant other who lives in the same household as the Club Member and have no dependent children living with them the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Individual: entitles the single person who is the sole resident of the household the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Silver Seniors: entitles those aged 62-71 in both Couple and Individual categories use of Club facilities and programs.

Note: UK Young Alumni and Student Memberships are available only for Young Alumni or Student Members of the UK Alumni Association from the age of 21 until their 30 th birthday when regular monthly dues will apply.

  • UK Young Alumni and Students, Lifetime Members of the UK Alumni Association, and Golden Seniors (age 72 and above) pay no initiation fee.
  • Membership continues until a written/email notice is sent to cancel a membership. Once cancelled, a membership cannot be renewed until one year has passed unless the member pays back the missing months. A reinstatement fee will be incurred when reinstating a membership and the minimum of six months dues in advance. Reinstatement Fee Res/Non-Res: Family/Single Parent/Couple $200: Individual/Silver Seniors $100: Individual Silver Senior $50: Golden Seniors No Fee

* Membership is Approved within 2-3 business upon receipt of the application and payment. Membership will start upon approval.

 “I hereby give my consent for The Club at Spindletop Hall to use my photograph and likeness in its publications including website. I release them from any expectation of confidentiality for any minor children and myself and attest I am the parent or legal guardian of the children listed in this application.”
Financial Agreement
“By signing this application, I accept financial responsibility for all dues and fees associated with a Membership in The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall as set forth by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Club’s by-laws, until written termination of membership is received by Club management. The By-laws are available in print upon request or via www.spindletophall.org. I understand dues may be adjusted by the Board from time to time.”
