CLUB MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION FOR UK FACULTY AND STAFF
  • Who can join The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall? UK Faculty, Staff and Members of the UK Alumni Association.
  • What if I didn’t graduate from UK? As Faculty and Staff of the University of Kentucky, you are eligible to join.
  • What amenities will I enjoy as a Club Member? Members enjoy 4 swimming pools, 6 tennis courts, 6 pickleball courts, Roxie’s upscale casual Member dining with veranda, summer Tiki Bar and Grill, exclusive access to Lexington’s Legacy Trail, basketball and volleyball courts, expansive grounds, picnic areas, special Club events and the spectacular Spindletop Hall mansion.
  • When can I start using the Club? Members may begin enjoying the Club’s facilities and programs upon payment of the initiation fee and dues.
  • How do I pay for my Membership?  The initiation fee is half the amount that non-UK Faculty and Staff pay. Only UK Faculty and staff can become Members by paying monthly from the beginning of their Membership. UK Faculty and Staff have three options for payment.
  •  What is required to activate my membership? Please fill out the application and payroll deduction form, if you choose that option, and mail to The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall, 3414 Iron Works Pike, Lexington, KY 40511 with appropriate fees and dues, fax to 859.259.3963 or email [email protected]. Payment can be made with a check or a credit card. Credit card payments can be made by phone.
  • Those joining The Club as Faculty or staff of the University of Kentucky are asked to maintain their membership for a minimum of six months. 
  • What happens if I leave and want to return at a later date?  If you want to return before a full year has passed, the missing months payments have to be made. There is no penalty if you return once the year is up. However, there is a reinstatement fee and six months dues are required upfront before payroll deduct can be re-started.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
RESIDENT: Resident Memberships are required for those whose primary residence or place of business is in Fayette or a contiguous county.
NON-RESIDENT: Persons who have their primary residence or place of business outside of Fayette or a contiguous county.
UK Young Alumni and Students: Entitles UK students, Alumni or others aged 21-29 who are Young Alumni or Student members of the UK Alumni Association the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Family: Entitles Member, their spouse or significant other and unmarried dependent children under the age of 23, who live in the same household as the Club Member, the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Single Parent: Entitles a single parent who is the sole adult resident in the house along with one or more unmarried dependent children under the age of 23 the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Couple: Entitles Member, their spouse or significant other who lives in the same household as the Club Member and have no dependent children living with them the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Individual: Entitles the single person who is the sole resident of the household the use of the Club facilities and programs.
Silver Seniors:  Entitles those aged 62-71 in both Couple and Individual categories use of Club facilities and programs.
Golden Seniors: Entitles those aged 72 and over in both the Couple and Individual categories use of Club facilities and programs.

NOTE
  • Payroll deduction is required for standard monthly dues.
  • UK Alumni Association Lifetime Members and Golden Seniors pay no initiation fee upon initially joining the Club.
  • If you opt to pay a year’s dues in advance the initiation fee is two thirds off the general member initiation fee.
  • Faculty/Staff between the ages of 21 and 29 are eligible for the UK Young Alumni Membership. Membership of the UK Alumni Association is required to qualify. Please request a UK Alumni Association application from The Club, if not a member, by emailing [email protected]. Individual Membership is $345 a year paid in advance with a $40 minimum spending requirement and Couple/Family Membership is $600 a year paid in advance with a $60 minimum spending requirement.
  • Membership continues until a written/email notice is sent to cancel a membership. Once cancelled, a membership cannot be renewed until one year has passed unless the member pays back the missing months. A reinstatement fee will be incurred when reinstating a membership and the minimum of six months dues in advance.

Financial Agreement
“By signing this application, I accept financial responsibility for all dues and fees associated with a Membership in The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall as set forth by the Board of Directors in accordance with the Club’s by-laws, until written termination of membership is received by Club management. The By-laws are available in print upon request or via www.spindletophall.org. I understand dues may be adjusted by the Board from time to time.”
